Our heartfelt prayers are with everyone in Tonga, affected by the devastation caused by cyclone Gita. We pray for those who have lost their lives and also for those who have lost their loved ones and ask our merciful God to bring them consolation and comfort in this time of grief and loss.
We ask for God's blessing on all those who have lost homes, their livelihoods, security and hope and pray for the courage they need to start rebuilding again.
We also remember the Tongan communities in New Zealand and assure you of our prayers.
Mass will be offered for everyone affected by this tragedy.
May we too respond with generosity in prayer, assistance and in aid, to the best of our ability.

Listening to Lay Marists
Where are we Heading?
Alexandra Yannicopoulos-Boulet is a married Lay Marist with teenage family who lives in France. She made her personal commitment as a Lay Marist here in New Zealand in 2015.
Alexandra is involved with the Marist Inner City Outreach mission, the bi-annual Relais Mariste camps and has many ongoing associations with the Marist family.
Have a look at her presentations for Marist Youth International
The presentations were in French and are translated into English and Spanish on this site.

Father Jean Claude Colin, Founder; Pray for Us.
Fr Colin's spiritual and practical legacy was immense.
"Keep well in mind that you must direct your house by prayer. That is very important. Everything by prayer...When something new comes along, something to be said or done, pray to the blessed Virgin." FS.39:19,20,
We ask Fr Colin to pray that religious and Lay men and women will again catch the vision to be instruments of Gods mercy in Mary's name. May we work to build a Marian church of mercy for the greater glory of God and the honour of his mother and we pray for the full flowering of Fr Colin's vision for Laity. Jean Claude Colin website
A site has been created to give information about Fr Colin, provide weekly extracts of his words for reflection and promote his Cause.
To be Marist is to want to encounter Jesus, to love, serve and follow him in Marys way and to share his love with others. We encourage the spiritual growth of families, lay groups and individuals wishing to grow in their Christian journey. Mary wants to gather everyone into Gods family and all are welcome. More...
