Listen to the song “When a Child is Born” to reflect further.

Pray for each other’s needs then conclude with this prayer

God of hope and contemplation,

Be with us as we begin this advent journey.

Increase our faith,

Show us your ways,

Teach us your path,

That we might walk with you more closely,

Our hand in your hand,

Our feet in your footsteps,

That we like Mary

May be your willing servants.

Amen.

“Hope finds its supreme witness in the Mother of God. In the Blessed Virgin, we see that hope is not naive optimism but a gift of grace amid the realities of life.”
