Pray for each other’s needs then conclude with this prayer:

Loving God,

Make me poor in spirit,

that I may rely on You more.

Give me a heart that mourns for the brokenness of the world,

that I may be comforted by Your presence.

Make me meek and gentle of heart,

a peacemaker who brings reconciliation to my family,

community, and world.

Fill me with a deep hunger and thirst for righteousness,

that I may seek justice for our world.

Make me merciful, quick to forgive and slow to condemn.

Purify my heart, Lord, that I may see You in all things.

Give me the courage to stand for

what is right and true.

Transform me into an

instrument of Your peace,

serving with a selfless and

generous spirit.

Amen.

  Marist Moment

“As modern Marists, we are called to follow the spirit of the Sermon on the Mount…We are called to identify the needs of our world…and act boldly to address those needs, confident in God’s providence.”
